PS

Jason just wanted me to remind everyone of how awesome he is and how well he has been taking care of me. Anything I need, he is right there waiting to get it for me. I don't know what I would do without him. He is AWESOME!

34 weeks, 6 to go

Today I had my 34 week OB appointment. I am still sick and the Dr. thinks I have an upper respiratory infection and am dehydrated. So she wrote me a note for work and told me to stay home for the remainder of the week, get plenty of fluids and lots of rest. Luckily they were very understanding at work and just want me to get better. The Dr. is a little concerned though because I have lost 10 lbs. in the last 2 wks. and my blood pressure was on the low side, probably from the dehydration. She isn't too worried though because Alex is very active and my belly has grown, 34 cm now. I knew that I would be down 1 or 2 lbs., but 10, that freaked me out. Dr. Shanahan set me up for an ultrasound on Tues. to make sure that he is gaining weight and doing ok. I'm not sure what she will do if she feels he isn't big enough, we'll find out and keep everyone posted.

Another sick week

Well, my mom is home! She and her husband settled back into normal life on Thursday and it is so good to have her back. I started to have cold symptoms on Weds. night and have been feeling like crap since then. I do not like to be sick and pregnant at the same time, it sucks. I also have a very hard time taking it easy and not overdoing it, especially with so much going on right now. Friday was very busy at work because I had taken Thurs. off to go get my mom and had been out sick last Thurs. and Fri. None of the things that should have been done at the office had been done. One of the things about my job is that there really isn't anything that only I can do, I just do it better and faster. There really is no reason for things to have piled up like that, it so frustrating. It took me all day Friday to get things cleaned up and by the end of the day I was pooped. Saturday I went to a baby shower for my friend Jessica. She is due on June 4th and having a boy as well. I can't wait for Alex and Reid to have their first play date! The shower was very long, I had to leave after the first 2 hours, they had just started to open the presents. My mom and I went to visit my grandmother after and stayed for about 3 hours. Too much! I went home and slept for, well really I went to bed for the night. Jason took very good care of me though. He made me tea, got me cough drops and rubbed my back. Of course, he did scold me a bit for trying to do too much, I need to listen to him more!
