Where have we been?

Well, I wish I could say that the reason for our absence is because my pregnancy is over and we have our little bundle of joy. Not so, darn it. Alex is still firmly ensconced in my womb and is showing little interest in coming out. He has dropped a bit though, I can breathe again thankfully. We have just been crazy busy and I have been crazy tired. I'm trying to get things ready, but have to keep stopping to rest. It is so frustrating, if I get a fair amount done I am too tired to do anything the next day.

We are at 38 1/2 weeks, I am still working and our hot water heater decided to die yesterday. Luckily my brother who works for a heating, air conditioning, plumbing company came over and saved the day. He took out and put in a new hot water heater, all on a Saturday. Thank-you Brian, you are awesome!









I have been going through the gifts that we received at our 5, yes 5 baby showers. Our families and friends have been so generous and thoughtful, we can't believe it. I have been sorting, cutting tags, peeling labels, washing and folding laundry. I have done 6-7 loads of laundry, all of it Alex's. Then the quandary of where to put it all. The clothes, holy cow the clothes, that was easy, he has a bureau. But the bedding, towels, blankets, bibs, robes, diapers and various bath products, where do they go? Luckily our house has several built in shelving units. With some consolidating and taking things out of the original packaging, everything has a home. Well almost. The dining room table is still covered, but neatly sorted with things to go into the nursery.

We have our 39 week OB appt. on Tuesday and I am hoping that there will be some sign that Alex is making his way out. Keep your fingers crossed!
