SURPRISE!!

Last night the girls that I work with threw me a surprise bridal shower! They told me they have been planning it for the last couple of weeks and used my birthday as a way to get me out. We usually go to the Seadog in Topsham for drinks and appetizers when anyone has a birthday. Some people couldn't go on my birthday so it was decided that we would go Thursday night when more people could make it, never once did I catch on. My friend Deb that I work with, who also lives next door, said she would pick me up and we'd go together. We just had to stop at Anne's house on the way to look at a chair Deb was thinking of buying from her. We pulled up in front of Anne's house and I noticed that our office manager's car was there too. I mentioned it to Deb and she said Karon must have decided to meet us there so she wouldn't have to wait alone for us at the restaurant. As we went up the walk I had a funny feeling that something was up, but Deb assured me I was just crazy. We went in the door and all the girls we work with were there, the whole house was decorated and there were presents! Anne had gone to Goodwill and found several Barbie dolls, dressed them, fixed their hair and arranged them on the mantle around a brand new Bride Barbie. She told me she had a great time playing with them over the last week, she never had a Barbie growing up. She had a pink table cloth on the table, square pink plates and even clear pink plastic cups that she had put silver jewel stickers on. So me! We had so much fun and I got some very nice presents, mostly things that are pink and sparkly. Do they know me or what? I will post some pictures as soon as they are sent to me.

Yes, the blog is having some issues... I am trying to figure it out now
