Wedding Craziness!!!

Just when I thought I could relax, things spin out of control. I got an e-mail last night from the photographer. It explained that she would be sending me a check for the amount of our deposit and that she was sorry for any inconvenience, but she was no longer able to photograph our wedding!!!??? She broke her hand in several places. I felt like I was going to cry, throw up and pass out all at the same time. The wedding is in 35 DAYS!!! When we signed the contract she told us that if for some reason she couldn't do the wedding she would do anything to help us find an alternative. This did not happen. We just got a short, curt e-mail, with the wrong address to send the deposit check to. ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

Jason took control and went online. He found the name of a photographer in Brunswick, who was actually my first choice, but because of price we went with this other photographer. Then my mom offered to help us with the cost, so now we can afford it. He called her last night around 7PM, maybe 5 min. after I got the e-mail, he got her voice-mail and left a message with our tortured story. The phone rang not 2 minutes later, it was her!! She has her business phone forwarded to her cell phone when she isn't in the studio. She is available on 4-22 and wanted to help us out. I met with her this morning and signed a contract, she assured me that unless she dies, she will be at the wedding. What a rollercoaster!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Today is my birthday! Jason is glad that I finally caught up with him, we're both 28 now. He was the first to sing happy birthday to me and he got me the best present ever! While we're in Las Vegas for our honeymoon, he's going to take me out to San Diego for a day and we are going to play with dolphins!! He found a dolphin experience where you learn about the dolphins, feed them and you get to swim with them! I have loved dolphins for as long as I can remember and swimming with them is on my list of things I must do before I die. For every Christmas and birthday for about 10 years, I asked my parents for one. I was sure it could live in the pond behind our house, needless to say, it never happened. I still can't believe he did this for me!

The rest of the day was nice, but can't compare to the way it started. When I got to work there were cards and a gift on my desk from my coworkers, they are so thoughtful! My aunt Nancy stopped by on her way to work and brought me a card and a helium balloon. She also had a card that she hand carried from my mom in New Zealand. My friend Debbi brought a big pan of baked ziti and a Boston Cream Pie for everyone to have for lunch, so delicious! My sister, mom, dad and Barb called to wish me a happy birthday. It's nice to know that people care about you. I also like the fact that my birthday is going last more than one day. Jason has to work tonight, so he is going to take me out to dinner and a movie tomorrow. He is so awesome!
