How much is that doggie in the window?

This is Gizmo's favorite place to sit. Our apartment is in an old brick building and we have really deep window sills. Perfectly sized for a puppy butt! He will sit there for hours or until someone comes into the house. His favorite part of the day is watching all the kids go to and from school. We are just a street down from the high school so there's a lot for him to look at. He also likes to wake Jason up in the morning and they are so cute! Well, this doesn't seem to be working!

Maybe if I try this.......
Success!!!

Snow Days and Pets

I love snow days, of course now that I'm out of school I never actually get to stay home on these days. But now that I can walk to work, the snow doesn't stress me out as much. We had a quiet weekend, we stayed home Sat. and got a few things done here and put away. Sunday we went over to our friends Luke & Rebecca's house to watch the Pats game. Luke has a 57" HD tv for optimal game viewing ;) and watching his response to the game is almost as fun as the game itself. He gets really involved and yells and jumps and makes the game a lot of fun, it's almost like you're at Gillette Stadium. We also took lots of pictures of the animals because I did mention that we have the most adorable dog and cats around! This is Lacey or Lacey Jane, whichever you prefer. I acquired her from my sister when she moved to Boothbay Harbor. She is just a little fluff of stuff. She had a cold when my sister first got her, that turned into a bacterial infection, she was on medicine for quite awhile. She now has scar tissue in her throat that gives her a raspy meow and she snorts. Isn't she cute! She thought she would help me with the Christmas decorations. This is my girl, Meeko. I got her at the same time my sister got Lacey, they are almost 3 years old now. We adopted them from a lady in Bowdoinham and found out later after Brenda had adopted another kitten, Sebastian, that they all have FIP, feline infectious peritonitis. We had to put Sebastian down because of this, it causes fluid to build up in the body cavities or the other form causes tumors in the organs. Both of the girls have tested positive for the virus, but hopefully they are just carriers and will never develop FIP. We did some research before we got Gizmo and found he wouldn't be harmed by this. I knew when I got her I had to change the name the cat lady had given her. She called her Celine because, "she is as beautiful as Celine Dion's voice"??? I was having a hard time coming up with a name for her so my friend Abbie, who loves Disney movies, suggested using a name from one of the movies. Her tail is ringed like a raccoon, so I named her after the raccoon from Pocahontas. She loves to curl up in tiny places and her favorite spot is on the heater in the living room. And of course you know Gizmo. He is in need of a haircut, but I'm worried about taking too much off in the winter. I think we are going to have him professionally done this time because the last few trims have been questionable! He loves to chase the girls around, Lacey doesn't seem to mind too much, but Meeko really doesn't like him. She hisses at him just for walking by her! Now I know I have gone on and on about how cute and adorable Gizmo is, but every one has a bad day once in a while!
