Wedding Update

Only 87 days till the wedding! Not that anyone is counting or anxious for April to come! Things are really coming together. Jason, Barb, Richard and I went to the Hilton last night for the food tasting. We had to narrow down our choices for the final menu. The food was fabulous! We all got salads and warm rolls to start and then they brought out 4 entrees of our choice and we got to try a little of each. We had the roast sirloin of beef, chicken shenandoah, cornish game hens and chicken caraquet. Seems like a lot of chicken, but it is my favorite. Every thing was great, but we decided to go with the chicken caraquet- a boneless breast of chicken filled with a Maine lobster herb stuffing topped with a Boursin cream. It turned out to be the top choice of everyone at the table, much to our surprise. I thought it would be the beef. We are also going to have a vegetarian choice, the totellini alla fresca-cheese tortellini sauteed with fresh vegetables and topped with a white cream sauce. After the entrees the waitress brought out 4 different desserts that were complimentary for doing the tasting. Oh my god, were they good. We got a piece of key lime pie, carrot cake, chocolate cake with raspberry filling and strawberry cheesecake. All the desserts were artistically displayed with whipped cream and sauces, so pretty. We had to roll ourselves out of there! One more thing off the list, I have to admit this was one of the favorites.
I had told everyone that we were going to make the invitations. I had every intention of doing this. I was very proud of the fact that I had put everything to make them in a box. That was the first thing we moved to the new apartment. I got out the box with the supplies last week to start making the invitations and discovered that the blue ink was not there. I looked every where and could not find it. That was when we decided to order the invitations. We went online and found some we really liked and ordered them. They came about a week later and the best part is, they are all made! All we have to do is stuff the envelopes and address them. It had gotten to the point that we were worried about getting everything done, so this makes things much easier. We'll keep you updated!
