Jason, Barbie and Alex: Lots of Movement

Lots of Movement

Even though I have been able to feel the baby moving for the last few weeks, I am noticing it more and more often. The baby is getting bigger and stronger, we are 23 weeks along now, more than halfway there. It is the most amazing thing that I have ever felt, knowing that in just a few short months I will be able to hold this little creature in my arms. I will be a mom! We are very excited to meet the little one.

Since we don't know for sure the sex, I have been looking for gender neutral items. There is not a lot out there, especially for clothes. For the nursery, I knew that I didn't want to go pink or blue, but I did want to do something either girly of boyish. Again not a lot out there, but we'll find something! The first big step is to clear out the room and patch the wall. My sister keeps warning me we are running out of time. Us procrastinate?!

S/he seems to really like the commute to work, especially when the radio is cranked. The other time I notice a lot of movement is when I am at the computer typing away. Just like Daddy! We have our appointment with the OB next week and we are going to go to Portland to have a 4-D ultrasound done next month. Hopefully we will have a definite answer on the gender, we'll keep you posted.

We didn't know about Ally either, so we did a Jungle theme with lots of animals and yellow paint. Still fun, but pretty neutral. Worked out well too since Ally's favorite color was yellow until very recently and she still loves the animals all over. She had a lot of jungle stuff she has grown out of - if you like the idea or decide to head in that direction, let me know and we'll hook you up. :)
